Hidey takes private photos, videos and files off your gallery and keeps them encrypted on your phone. To anyone else, there is nothing there.
What is Hidey?
Everything you hide is encrypted with AES-256 on the phone itself, and the originals are removed from your gallery. Hidey runs no servers that store your files, so nobody at Hidey can see them.
Backups go to a hidden folder in your own Google Drive and are encrypted before upload, so a new phone can restore the vault. The free plan has no limit on how much you hide and shows ads. Pro removes the ads and adds hidden vaults, intruder selfies, a panic exit, live sync and a zero-knowledge mode.

Can the Hidey team see my photos?
No. Files are encrypted on your phone and Hidey runs no servers that store them. Backups are encrypted before they are uploaded to your own Google Drive or S3 storage.
Is Hidey free?
Yes. The free plan has no limit on how much you hide and shows ads that never cover your photos. Pro is an optional upgrade.
What if I forget my PIN?
With Google sign-in you can reset it through Google after a 24-hour wait. In zero-knowledge mode you use your recovery key instead.
Does hiding a photo remove it from Google Photos?
No. Copies already backed up to Google Photos stay there until you delete them, and Hidey reminds you the first time you hide something.
